It’s then a 1-hour out and back hike, you will find the Fire Wave waiting for you at the end of the trail. How to get there: Park at the parking lot across the road from the Fire Wave Trailhead on Mouse’s Tank Road. However, if you want to see the vivid colors then it’s best to visit during daylight hours – just avoid hiking during the hottest part of the day. I know that waking up early is always a struggle, especially if you need to calculate with the driving time from Las Vegas, but believe me, it’s so worth it!
